Triple Chocolate Cookies

Triple Chocolate Cookies – half milk chocolate chip, half double white chocolate chip – the ultimate cookie!!


I’ve posted a few cookie recipes on here already, S’mores Cookies, Chocolate and Orange Cookies and Mini Egg Cookies – I love how moorish cookies are which is one of the main reasons why I find it so hard not to devour the whole batch. There’s nothing better than baking a fresh batch of cookies, smelling the sweet aroma drifting through the house and then enjoying them with a cup of tea or a cool glass of milk.


When I was thinking about what cookie recipe to try this time it was a tough decision and then I thought – why do I need to choose?! Combining two flavours of cookies is not something I’ve done before but I’ve wanted to give it a go for a while now – I’ve even been sketching how I hoped they would turn out! As you can imagine I was super pleased when they came out not only looking delicious but tasting so scrummy I just had to sample 3 or 4 … just to make sure before offering them up to family and friends!


The recipe follows the same basic ingredients as I’ve used before and it’s only really at the end that the cookies combine to form the ULTIMATE COOKIE! It’s the best of both worlds with a classic chocolate chip cookie merged together with a milk and white chocolate chip cookie – they kind of look like yin and yang – perfect harmony in cookie form! <3


As with my previous cookie recipes these are slightly under baked so the centres are lovely and soft. I love eating cookies still warm, the chocolate literally melts in your mouth and it is just heaven in a bite of cookie <3


115g soft brown sugar

115g caster sugar

150g unsalted butter

1 medium egg

1tsp baking powder

175g self raising flour

50g cocoa powder

1tsp vanilla extract

70g milk chocolate chips

70g white chocolate chips


Preheat the oven to 180C and line two baking sheets.

1 – Cream the butter and both sugars together until fluffy and pale. Add in the egg, baking powder and self raising flour. Mix until a dough begins to form.

2 – Separate half of the mixture into another bowl. In one bowl add the cocoa powder and white chocolate chips. You’ll need to mix this quite a lot to get the cocoa to combine with the mix but it will come together don’t worry!

3 – In the second bowl add in the vanilla extract and milk chocolate chips, fold through so they’re evenly spread throughout.

4 – On a well floured surface roll out an equal number of cookie dough balls from each flavour. Then take one milk chocolate and one double chocolate ball and lightly roll them together so they’re stuck but not combined. You’ll only need to roll them in the palm of your hands a couple of times before they stick.


5 – Place them onto a baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes for a soft centre or 5 minutes longer for a crispier finish. Leave them to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. You can drizzle over a bit of dark chocolate if you want or they’re perfect as they are! Enjoy – you’ve just made the Ultimate Cookie!!!
